Learn to Sail at a Charlotte Harbor Youth Sailing Camp.
SUMMER SAILING CAMPS:
CHYS offers five FULL DAY one week long summer sailing camps for 8 to 17 year old participants. Youth sailors successfully completing the course will achieve their small boat US Sailing certification.
YEAR ROUND SATURDAY ADVANCED SAILING:
CHYS offers a Saturday Adventure/Advanced Sailing program from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM throughout the school year depending on participation, weather, availability of a certified instructor and availability of an adult adviser. This program is open to youth ages 9 to 17 who have completed one of the CHYS Summer Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced one week sailing camps. It is also open to area or visiting youth who have passed a US Sailing certified sailing school session. A Participation Agreement and Liability Waiver must be signed by your parent/guardian. The cost is only $25 per session. Your first Saturday's participation fee covers your year membership in the Program.
SUMMER SAILING CAMP POWER BOAT TRAINING:
CHYS also provides the State of Florida powerboat operator information, training, testing and submission. This program is available to participants in one of the Summer Sailing Camps. Those participants who pass the Florida and meet the age requirements (14 y/o) may be certified to operate a small powerboat in the State of Florida.
